Established in 1929 in the UK, Serco is a FTSE top 250 company and a leading supplier of public services. Employing over 47,000 people, we operate over 600 contracts across the UK & Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Serco focuses on servicing governments and public sector customers across five sectors: transportation, healthcare, justice and immigration, citizens' services (public sector business process outsourcing), and defence.
Serco has been operating in Hong Kong for over 25 years primarily focusing on the Transport and Health sectors. It was the first operator to provide Management, Operation and Maintenance (MOM) services for a government road tunnel, the Lion Rock tunnel in 1993 and since then has been involved in many other significant transportation contracts. Currently we manage, operate and maintain the Tsing Sha Control Area, including the iconic Stonecutters Bridge, and provide car parking, traffic management and taxi staging services at Hong Kong International Airport.
In the health sector, the business has provided domestic, transportation and facility management services to a range of hospitals including Kowloon, Queen Mary and Grantham hospitals and currently provides similar services at Prince of Wales, Tai Po, and Alice Ho Nethersole hospitals. We also provide the Hospital Authority a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and a 24/7 service line for managing all maintenance and repairs to hospital facilities.
We currently employ over 1,400 people and are committed to building our business in Hong Kong by combining our local experience with the Group’s broad range of international expertise. Increasingly we want to draw on these capabilities to broaden the range of services that we deliver in Hong Kong and to support the Government in realising its ‘Smart City’ ambitions and to help address the growing social issues in housing, health and aged care.
